The center has fulfilled and is undertaking more than 30 key projects funded by national and provincial funding agencies, and under is coordinating Mg "973" fundamental research project. It has won more than 10 national and provincial S&T awards for its outstanding achievements. More than 10 books on light alloys and more than 300 papers on magnesium alloys have been published, more than 40 patents has applied, more than 60 new Mg products, new materials, and new techniques were developed, among which 40 have been used for mass production.
