The establishment and operation of the Center injects strong momentum to the development of magnesium industry in Chongqing, leading to the construction of CQMST, Chongqing Meridian-Boao, Changan Renmei, Chongqing SinoST, Chongqing Aobo, Chongqing Haibo, etc. Their annual production capacity has reached 6 million die castings and 2000 tons of extrusion profiles.

| Aided by other research institutes, universities, enterprises and market demands, CCMg has already successfully developed many Mg products for Automobile, motorbike, bicycle, hand tool in the form of castings, profiles, strips and sheets, and equipments. Among the products developed, 40 Mg products has been put into mass production, and used on 50 thousand Changan minivan and more than 2 million motorbikes. The quantity and weight of Mg used in single car are in a leading position nationwide. | |
