On April 17, 2008, Chen Chuanhong, Director of Office for National Science and Technology Awards, visited the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys companied by Prof. Li Xiaohong, President of Chongqing University, Prof. Yu Honglin, Director of Division of Science and Technology and Prof. Pan Fusheng, Director of National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys. Chen Chuanhong listened carefully to the introduction about the R&D and industrial development of magnesium alloys, the talents training, and the international cooperation and so on, which were proposed by Prof. Pan Fusheng. He visited the experimental workshop, the analysis facilities and the exhibition room of the research center, and gave a highly evaluation to the remarkable achievements in the development and the processing technology of magnesium alloys of Magnesium Center, and also expressed that he would like to take some attention continually to the development of our center and the research in magnesium alloys, especially the applications of magnesium alloys in the future.
