In the meeting, Zhang Pijun pointed out that the Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. had a rapid development trend in the iron and steel industries and also exhibited a steady development in its benefits. In addition, they had some initial intention in the development of new materials, especially aluminum, magnesium light alloys, and hoped to cooperate with the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys and the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Chongqing University. Following that, Prof. Bai Chenguang and Prof. Liu Qing introduced the research and development progress of Chongqing University, the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys and the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Chongqing University, respectively.
