At the invitation of IUMRS, Prof. Pan Fusheng, Director of CCMG and Dean of Chongqing Science and Technology Research Institute, attended the IUMRS 2011 Annual Meeting held at the Nangang Exhibition Hall, Taipei, Taiwan, in September 20, 2011. He made an invited lecture entitled ‘Magnesium: Present and Future’.

More than 2,000 representatives over the world attended the meeting. Six world-renowned experts, including Prof. Harry of California Institute of Technology and Prof. Pan Fusheng of Chongqing University, etc., were invited to lecture at the meeting. Prof. Pan Fusheng made a wonderful lecture on the technology research and development, applied research and industrialization of magnesium alloy material on a global scale and introduced the key technical problems of the application of magnesium production and analyzed the influential factors of price of magnesium and discussed the relative factors of microstructures and properties of magnesium alloy and forecasted the range of application of magnesium alloy.

Prof. Pan Fusheng’s invited lecture was greeted with a burst of applause and received high recognition from the invited participants.
