On October 19, 2011, the first China Magnesium Industry Summit Forum jointly organized by Professional Committees of Magnesium Alloy Materials and Applications of China Materials Research Society, Magnesium Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Chongqing Institute of Science and Technology, Chongqing Materials Research Society, new material group of the Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology Advisory Group and CCMG was successfully held in Wansheng, Chongqing. More than 150 experts, academics, technicians, entrepreneurs and management experts in the field of magnesium alloy attended the forum.
Prof. Pan Fusheng, President of Professional Committees of Magnesium Alloy Materials and Applications and Director of CCMG, presided over the forum. President of China Magnesium Association Xu Jinxiang, Former President Wu Xiuming, Secretary-General Meng Shukun, Chongqing Wansheng District Secretary of the Party committee Xiang Tao, Chongqing Wansheng District Chief Pan Yiqin, known experts in magnesium alloy Ding Peidao and Zhang Zonghe attended the forum. Prof. Long Siyuan of Chongqing University, deputy general manager of Foxconn Technology Group Li Naiyi, Prof. Cui Jianzhong of Northeastern University, Prof. Wu Guohua of Shanghai Jiaotong University and research fellow Chen Rongshi of Institute of Metal Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences made some wonderful academic reports. The aim of this forum is to expand the communication and interaction among academia and industrial community and make the business community know the latest scientific and technological achievements of academia, in order to accelerate the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. Participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions in the new progress of magnesium alloy, the difficulties and challenges of magnesium industry and promoting the health and sustainable development of magnesium industry.
