On Apr. 27, 2018, the 4th member Representative Conference and the 1st Council of Chongqing Materials Society was held in hotel of Chongqing University of Science and Technology. More than 120 representatives attended the conference. Prof. Fusheng Pan, Chairman of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, Xiong Zhou, vice-chairman of Chongqing Association for Science and Technology, Huachuan Yin, principal of Chongqing University of Science and Technology and other relevant experts attended the conference.

The general meeting evaluated and approved the work report provided by the chairman of the third session of the board. The fourth council consisting of 91 council members, 32 management members and 1 supervisor was elected, and the fourth council meeting was held according to the procedure. The academician Fusheng Pan was invited to be the honorary chairman of the council, and Prof. Xiaodong Peng was elected as the chairman of the council.

Representatives expressed gratitude to the work of the third Council of Chongqing Materials Society, and expected that the new council continue to promote the academic exchanges, accelerate and explore the reform of the society, and support the local economic development and the growth of its members.
