The Managing Vice President and Executive Vice President of China Foundry Association visited CCMg

On December 18, 2016, Professor Libo Zhang (Managing Vice President) and Mr. Ping Wen (Senior Engineer, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General) from China Foundry Association, visited CCMg to exchange and negotiate cooperation. Prof. Fusheng Pan (Director of CCMg), Prof. Dingfei Zhang (Deputy Director of CCMg), Prof. Siyuan Long (Deputy Director of CCMg), and Prof. Weidong Xie took part in the reception.

Prof. Libo Zhang and Mr. Ping Wen visited the Exhibition Hall of CCMg in the morning to fully understand the basic research and development situation, equipment, and magnesium alloy products developed by CCMg. At the subsequent meeting, Prof. Fusheng Pan first introduced the R&D and domestic and international influence of CCMg to the guests. Based on Prof. Pan’s introduction, Prof. Libo Zhang proposed the following three suggestions for cooperation: 1. Hope CCMg and the China Foundry Association will strengthen the Industry-Academia-Research cooperation on the magnesium alloy die casting to benefit more companies, and strongly invite CCMg to join the forthcoming Light Alloy Wheel Branch of China Foundry Association; 2. Promote the standardization and internationalization of the casting magnesium alloy product via the influence of CCMg at home and abroad; 3. Suggest CCMg to recommend an expert team to serve as the experts in the China Foundry Association and actively take advantage of the many high-level experts in CCMg. Subsequently, Prof. Dingfei Zhang introduced the basic situation and development trend of CCMg in detail, and Prof. Siyuan Long introduced the scientific research and industrialization achievements in the fields of light alloy casting technology, equipment and product research and development. After the introductions of Prof. Dingfei Zhang and Prof. Siyuan Long, Vice President Wen highly appreciated the application prospects of magnesium alloys in the lightweight field and hoped that both parties would strengthen cooperation.
