On January 22, 2017, as the Chinese New Year was approaching, Prof. Xuhong Zhou (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the president of Chongqing University) visited and expressed condolences to Professor Fusheng Pan and some of his team members from CCMg, and appreciated the experts for their outstanding contributions to the development of Chongqing University. He sent them sincere greetings and best wishes of the New Year on behalf of Chongqing University.

During the visit and condolences, Professor Fusheng Pan, Director of CCMg, reported the experts’ teaching and research, laboratory construction, technology development, industrial application, etc.. He also introduced the progress of the National Key R&D Project of magnesium alloys, which was led by CCMg. President Zhou fully approved the contribution of CCMg in talent development, scientific research, and discipline construction. He hopes that experts and professors will closely focus on the reform and development strategic needs of China, Chongqing, and Chongqing University, further strengthen the advantages and characteristics of CCMg in the research field, lead the development of magnesium industry, and strive to achieve new breakthroughs and make new achievements.

The experts expressed their gratitude to the school’s concern and the school leaders’ visit and condolences, and expressed that they would closely follow the school’s deepening comprehensive reforms and strive to make greater contributions to the school’s “double first-class” construction.
